The Reserve can be expected to improve for a decade, and should cellar nicely for 15 years or longer. The tannins are more gripping and pronounced making this wine a little more backward than the regular bottling of Cabernet although it still possesses the explosive fruit and dark berry quality with a rich chocolate background. This Reserve Cabernet will only get better and should start drinking nicely for the Holidays. Two hours of decanting is recommended for this wine. The fruit is from one of the hottest new growing regions called the Red Hills in Lake County, about 20 minutes north of Napa Valley. 100 cases produced.
